What Does a Condensate Pump do?

Condensate removal units are designed to pump accumulated water out of an HVAC unit, refrigeration system, boiler furnace, or steam system. Typically electrically powered, they run on centrifugal pumps and are small enough to be used in a household setting. 

These pumps work by running intermittently and moving accumulated condensate into a tank. When the condensate begins to fill the tank, the unit engages an automatic pump which disperses the liquid.
